What is your favorite FOSS story?
My Favorite Foss story was getting to teach an adult student who didn’t have use of his legs. He had been swimming with us for a long time, but only did scoops on a noodle. When we started together I taught him how to put his eyes in which had been a big hurdle! By the end of our session, he knew all four strokes!
Tell a story about a student who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them.
I had been working with a deaf, nonverbal autistic student over the course of several sessions. We slowly worked on pouring water over her head and looking down with a prompt and one day she was able to dive for her own rings!
