Seeing and being a direct influence in growth.
What is your favorite FOSS story?
A parent let us know that their swimmer fell into the water, did their safety stroke back and told her that they “just did what coach Alex taught him.” Prior to that quarter, the swimmer had little swimming experience.
What is your personal favorite water activity?
Doing cool underwater tricks for my swimmers and underwater dance parties!
Tell a story about a student who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them.
A swimmer, previously nervous around water and with no prior swimming experience went from being able to put their eyes in week two to being able to do a safety stroke by week five! Parent was absolutely ecstatic, and I was very proud of them.
