What is your favorite FOSS story?
I had a student that was working super hard the whole quarter, and they were just a progression standard or two off from moving up, and on the last day of classes something just clicked, and they were swimming so confidently. I loved seeing it click with the student and how their lightbulb was shining so bright for the final class of the quarter.
What is your personal favorite water activity?
I love playing pool volleyball, because of the memories it gives me from playing it with family and friends growing up.
Tell a story about a student who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them.
I had taught a child for almost a year straight that just lights up whenever I see her, even now that I don’t teach her, she gets super excited, and her lightbulb shines every time I say hi when they come in. I love that she remembers me, and it makes my day to see her.
