When a swimmer does a skill independently for the first time! It’s so fun getting to celebrate with them and their families!

It’s hard to think of a favorite story, I’ve had so many fun moments with my swimmers and coworkers!!
Can you recount a student of yours who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them? What was it? How did the child react? How did the parent react? What was your reaction?:
I had a student who was shaking when they got in the water for our first class; they really didn’t like the water and they were really nervous. The student wouldn’t let me let go of them while swimming. We have been working on building confidence, and they can now swim without me holding on and will put their face in the water!! The student even tells me that “Foss is my favorite school”. I have been so happy to watch this swimmer progress and begin to enjoy water, and I know their family has too!
