I had a student that was completely new to swimming and was a bit scared of the water, and by the end of the 2-week camp he was swimming on his own. His mom was super proud of his progress!
What is your personal favorite water activity? Why?
I like to go to the beach when it’s nice and warm outside.
Can you recount a student of yours who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them? What was it? How did the child react? How did the parent react? What was your reaction?
I had student who was in a Middle 1 for the seventh time. She was scared she was going to sink while she was trying to float on her back. By the end of the class, she was able to float by herself for the first time and she turned to her dad and said “Dad, I did it!”
