Q: What is your favorite part of working for Foss?

A: Growing connections with my students and seeing all of their progress week in and out!

Q: Share your favorite Foss story:

A: Coaching my first Big 6 and doing our timings while cheering on the students with any pool equipment we could find including pool noodles, kick boards, and barbells! It was so much fun to see my students work together and encourage one another as a team!

Q: What is your personal favorite water activity? Why?

A: My favorite water activity is sprint swimming due to my past team experience from junior high to now!

Q: Can you recount a student of yours who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them? What was it? How did the child react? How did the parent react? What was your reaction?:

A: My favorite lightbulb moment was in a Big 5. I had a class of students who would easily get frustrated while swimming butterfly and breaststroke. We worked very hard throughout the quarter to figure out the timing and pattern of both strokes. By the end of the session, they were all masters of both butterfly and breaststroke which brought a smile to everyone’s face   including mine!
