Scuba diving is my favorite thing to do when I travel.
What’s your favorite FOSS story?
I had a student who wouldn’t put his nose or eyes in the first two-week camp I had him in, but when I got him again for a private lesson, we worked to get him underwater all by himself. It was a huge confidence booster for him and his mom!
Can you recount a student of yours who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment?
I had a student that was afraid of having her face in the water while swimming. I never pushed too hard, but by the third day, she was confident enough to try. She was so happy and proud of herself when she got it down! She really excelled at that point forward.
