What is your favorite FOSS story?
This one time a student in my class was telling me on how I inspired him to work hard and hustle during class, and push himself to his fullest potential. I always tell my kids that their only competition is the person they see in the mirror. That’s what inspires them to reach greatness. I’ve also coached kids in basketball before so that’s how we do it!
What is your personal favorite water activity?
Playing basketball with the rings so the kids throw the rings in the bucket and try to make a basket!
Can you recount a student of yours who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them?
A student in my class was able to do his Chop Chop Timbers by taking deep breaths and I was surprised because some kids can be scared to do it. I was happy that he was able to keep himself calm!
What is your favorite part about working for FOSS?
Inspiring kids to swim to their fullest potential!
