What is your favorite part of working for FOSS?

Getting to work with kids…and exercise!

What is your favorite FOSS story?

One of my students didn’t want to get in the water at first. After finally getting in the water, she had to get out again to use the restroom. After some time, I figured that she just went home. But I was wrong—she came out running out screaming, “Bye, Teacher Aaron!” and blew me a kiss goodbye. That happened last fall, and I still think of it regularly!

What is your personal favorite water activity?

I like going underwater and relaxing in the water. Moving when it moves me, experiencing the waves underneath, and hearing the bliss of the water underneath.

Can you recount a student of yours who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them?

One of my students had a bit of trouble doing their pancake flips after starfish floats, until I realized that the student was turning on his non-dominant side. Once we made the shift, his pancakes flips improved immensely, and he was able to flip consistently without help.
