How long have you worked for FOSS?

2 years!

What is your favorite part of working for FOSS?

Making kids laugh.

Can you tell us your favorite FOSS Story?

It’s too hard to pick a favorite, every day I come in something new and amazing happens.

What is your favorite level to teach and why?

Big 5. It is so much fun teaching the full strokes and the kids are a little older and have a lot more to say!

What is your favorite skill to teach and why?

Teaching kids to flip. The first time they nail it is so exciting.

Can you recount a student of yours who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them?

In a Little 2, Henry was afraid to swim all by himself and needed lots of holding and support. The first time he started scooping and kicking all on his own—both of his parents stood up applauding him, cheering how great a job he did!

Anything else you really wish you could tell parents about you as they bring their children to FOSS?

I love this job and look forward to coming in and bringing the fun and a little music to everyone’s day.
