When I had my first ever Backfloat Baby class I was super nervous, but after the class it was so fun and I made great connections with the families it was amazing.
What is your personal favorite water activity?
I love going on the lake and wakeboard I’m terrible at it, but it is so much fun and I’m getting better slowly at it!
Can you recount a student of yours who experienced a major “lightbulb” moment when you were with them?
I was teaching a little one who would not put her eyes in at all and I was worried she would just keep her eyes out of the water the whole quarter. At the end of the quarter, she was swimming all by herself and was getting her flip down! It was so amazing to see her progress and her parents where so thrilled. To this day, every time we see each other we always say “hi” and she tells me what she is learning. It is so awesome to have that connection. FOSS is an amazing place to build connections with kids and their parents.
