Our new Foss Swim School in Burnsville, MN opens for lessons in March 2023, and we want to share a little flavor of what’s in store at our newest location!
We’re already excited to be a part of the Burnsville community. In fact, our teachers and team members (joined by our mascot, Cheeks the Monkey) had a great time at Burnsville Polar Fest 2023 recently!
Here’s a quick list of five things to know about our new location:
All about easy access
Our Burnsville location is situated right in the triangle where Interstates 35E and 35W join together – meaning fast and easy access to surrounding communities in almost every direction. The school is located near the corner of our mall, with expansive parking available. We’ve even made access easier inside: the Burnsville location was designed with multiple doors between the changing room and pool deck to keep foot traffic flowing.
A larger-than-normal pool offers flexibility
The pool we’ve built has 18 stations and a flexible configuration, allowing us to section off areas suitable for every level we teach, from contained spaces to longer lanes. It has the U-shaped configuration we have found most effective in our schools, creating more separate space for classes and letting our on-deck personnel and parents get closer to the swimming.
Teachers and staff with experience and enthusiasm
We’ve brought together a team that includes long-time FOSS employees who know our curriculum and operations by heart, meaning we’ll be running on all cylinders quickly. We also have hired a number of new teachers who bring lots of energy and excitement that we know will help make class fun for all our future students!
Family-friendly location and features
At Foss Swim School, we understand that families are busy and even an important activity like learning to swim has to fit into your life. We build our schools, including our new Burnsville location, in places with access to shopping, restaurants and other services that families need, so you aren’t going out of your way. We make sure our viewing areas are comfortable and our in-school stores are well stocked with what you need. And we have friendly, helpful staff who are ready to help you make your swim school schedule and experience work for you.
A perfect setting for our proven curriculum
One thing that is consistent across locations is our proven FOSS curriculum, which lets us teach swimmers of all ages and abilities. We’re starting to fill up our baby classes and learn-to-swim classes for younger kids in Burnsville, but we also have more advanced classes for older learners, and will continue to add more sessions as our students grow and are ready to learn to swim stronger and faster.
We hope all our FOSS friends who are in the area will stop by and check us out or let friends and family who are looking for a great place to swim know about this new location. We are hosting as many free preview lessons as possible in the coming weeks to give people a chance to see and experience this great new facility for themselves!
