How long have you worked for FOSS?

I have been with the company for about 7 years now.

What is your favorite part about working for FOSS?

I love that every day is different. Each day brings new people, situations and resolutions. I am never bored and am constantly kept on my toes (in a good way)! I also love the stories and funny things that my kiddos say on a daily basis.

Share one of your favorite FOSS stories.

I was getting settled into work for a Friday afternoon office shift. We didn’t have classes going on, and the facility was quiet except for the friend working with me. After about 10 minutes, my friend asked if I could get something out of the retail closet for her. I got up, turned the door handle and jumped out of my skin as another employee jumped out of the closet to scare me! I screamed so loud!

What is your favorite level to teach and why?

I love Little 1s and swim teams. It’s an odd mix, but I love helping kids get over their fears and learn new things, and I also like helping kids develop their technique to become stronger and faster. Plus, it’s nice to teach a variety of classes.

What is your favorite water activity and why?

Some of my best water-related memories are of being on the lake with my family and friends. I love to drive around on the boat, go tubing and chit chat.

What is your favorite activity to do with swimmers?

I love doing “Chop, Chop, Timber” and “Humpty Dumpty.” They teach such important, lifesaving skills and are necessities for our young swimmers. They also help them build confidence in their abilities and to feel more independent.
